Frequently Asked Questions

Let’s clarify your confusions. Here are some of the Frequently Asked Questions which most of our client asks.

Have a question in mind

Looking for more info? Send a question to the tour agent to find out more.

When is the best time to go on safari in East Africa?

East Africa offers exceptional safari experiences throughout the year, but the best time depends on your interests. The dry season, from June to October, is ideal for game viewing as wildlife gathers around water sources and the bush is less dense. This period also coincides with the dramatic river crossings of the Great Migration in the Serengeti. From December to March, the landscape is lush and green, and this is when the calving season occurs — a fantastic time for predator sightings. While April and May are considered the rainy season, they offer excellent value with fewer crowds and beautifully green scenery.

What should I expect on a typical safari day?

A typical safari day begins early, just after sunrise, when wildlife is most active. After a light breakfast, you'll head out on a morning game drive, often returning to your lodge or camp by late morning for a hearty brunch or lunch. The midday hours are reserved for relaxation, with time to enjoy the lodge amenities, take a nap, or simply soak in the surroundings. In the late afternoon, you’ll embark on another game drive that usually includes a scenic sundowner before returning to camp for dinner. Each day brings different sightings and unforgettable moments in the wild.

Are safaris suitable for children and families?

Yes, This  safari is  an incredible experience for families, including children, provided the itinerary is planned with their needs in mind. Many lodges offer family-friendly accommodations, child-specific meals, and shorter game drives to suit younger travelers. For children under the age of 6, some camps may have restrictions on participation in certain activities, but private safaris can be customized accordingly. Activities like wildlife tracking, cultural visits to Maasai villages, and junior ranger programs also help engage kids in an educational and exciting way.

What is included in my safari package?

Our safari packages are designed to offer a seamless, luxury experience. They typically include accommodation in handpicked lodges or camps, all meals during the safari, daily game drives in a private 4x4 vehicle with a professional guide, park and conservation fees, internal flights (where applicable), and airport transfers. We also provide bottled drinking water and Wi-Fi where available. International flights, travel insurance, visas, personal purchases, and gratuities are usually not included unless specifically stated.

Do I need to take any health precautions before traveling?

Yes, it is important to take certain health precautions before traveling to East Africa. A yellow fever vaccination may be required, especially if you're arriving from or transiting through a country where yellow fever is present. Malaria is present in many safari regions, so anti-malarial medication is often recommended—please consult your doctor well in advance of travel. We also advise that you bring insect repellent, wear long sleeves in the evening, and ensure you’re up to date with routine vaccinations such as hepatitis A, typhoid, and tetanus. Your health and safety are our top priority, and we’ll provide guidance before your trip.
