Upon arrival at Nairobi Wilson Airport or Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, your experienced guide will warmly welcome you and assist with your transfer to the Masai Mara National Reserve. Depending on your preference, you can either take a scenic road trip or a quick domestic flight to the reserve. Once you arrive, you will check in at the luxurious Neptune Mara Rianta Camp, where comfort meets the wild. After settling in, enjoy a delicious lunch at the camp’s dining area. In the afternoon, set out on your first game drive to explore the vast plains and catch glimpses of the incredible wildlife the Mara is famous for. As the sun begins to set, return to camp to relax and enjoy a sumptuous dinner, surrounded by the sounds of the African wilderness. Spend your first night under the stars at Neptune Mara Rianta, fully immersed in the safari experience.
After an early breakfast at Neptune Mara Rianta, you will set out for a full day of exciting game drives. Explore different parts of the Masai Mara, seeking the Big Five—lions, elephants, leopards, rhinos, and buffalo—as well as cheetahs, wildebeests, zebras, and countless bird species. During the day, return to camp for a relaxing lunch and some downtime. In the afternoon, you have the option to visit a nearby Maasai village to experience the vibrant culture and traditions of the Maasai people. After the visit, continue your afternoon game drive, soaking in the stunning landscapes and wildlife encounters. End the day with optional sunset drinks in the bush before returning to Neptune Mara Rianta for dinner and your second night under the stars.
Wake up early for a final morning game drive to catch the sunrise and enjoy last glimpses of wildlife in the Masai Mara. After this peaceful start to the day, return to Neptune Mara Rianta for breakfast and check out of the camp. Then, you will transfer back to Nairobi by road or light aircraft, depending on your preference. Upon arrival in Nairobi, you will be dropped off at your hotel or the airport to continue your onward journey.
The best time to visit is during the Great Migration, typically from July to October, when millions of wildebeests and zebras cross the Mara River. However, the park offers excellent wildlife viewing year-round.
