Lake Manyara National Park, Tanzania
Upon your arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport you will be met by a member of the andBeyond team who will assist you to your scheduled flight to Manyara Airstrip. On arrival at the airstrip, you will be met by a representative from andBeyond Lake Manyara Tree Lodge for your first game drive to the lodge. Lake Manyara National Park offers a wilderness experience in diverse habitats, from its Rift Valley soda lake to dense woodlands and steep mountainsides. Day 2
Lake Manyara
Guests who spend two or more nights at &Beyond Lake Manyara Tree Lodge, will receive a complimentary game drive at night and a scenic bicycle ride exploring Lake Manyara. &Beyond Lake Manyara Tree Lodge is one of the few places in Tanzania where guests can experience evening game drives, and the opportunity to encounter sightings of nocturnal predators. The leisurely bike ride through the nearby Mayoka community is hosted throughout by an expert &Beyond guide. Guests can cycle through this bustling village and interact with the friendly, local people. They may even cross paths with the nomadic Mang’ati tribe (also known as the Datooga tribe), adorned with traditional animal skin cloaks, textured skirts and colourful beads. Once your guests have left the village behind, they can peddle on a picturesque route to the lakeshore, where they can admire bright pink flocks of flamingos. Cradled in the boughs of ancient mahogany trees, ten stilted treehouse suites are a sophisticated blend of intimacy and romance, offering privacy and exclusivity. Each treehouse suite features generous decks suspended above the forest floor and large windows to invite the lush forest inside. Indulge and explore at andBeyond Ngorongoro Crater Lodge during your 2 night stay in a Suite with ensuite bathroom with bath and shower. Day 4
Ngorongoro Crater, Tanzania
Perched on the edge of the Crater rim, andBeyond Ngorongoro Crater Lodge’s sumptuous safari suites present breath-taking views. Inspired in design by the Maasai mud and stick manyatta (homestead), this is without doubt one of the most architecturally spectacular safari lodges in Africa. Three separate and intimate camps are reminiscent of a bygone era totalling just 30 suites in all. Steeped in romance, each stilted, handcrafted mud and thatch suite is adorned with graceful antiques and grand chandeliers. The bedroom, sitting room and ensuite bathroom boast floor-to-ceiling glass windows, overlooking the magnificent Crater below. Serengeti National Park
andBeyond Serengeti Under Canvas reaches far beyond the bounds of the traditional Tanzanian safari – the sumptuously luxurious tented, seasonal camps move around the Serengeti year round, bringing guests within range of the Great Migration. When the Migration crosses over into Kenya, the camps remain in the remote, beautiful corners of the Serengeti, renowned for excellent resident game. DAY 8-10
Mnemba Island, Zanzibar Tanzania
Depart by road to the airstrip, where you will board your scheduled flight to Zanzibar Airport via Arusha. On arrival in Zanzibar you will be met by an andBeyond representative who will assist with your road transfer to the crossing point for Mnemba Island. Here you will be met by a boat for your transfer to Mnemba Island Lodge. (The arrival and departure point on Mnemba does not have a jetty, so guests have to wade through shallow water and are therefore advised to dress accordingly). Be spoilt at andBeyond Mnemba Island during your 3 night stay in a Zanzibari Banda with ensuite bathroom with shower only. Your stay includes three meals daily, soft drinks, house wines, local brand spirits, water sport including scuba diving (2 dives per day - full PADI certification required), snorkelling, kayaking, flyfishing, sundowner dhow cruise, stand-up paddle boarding (all activities ) and return Zanzibar Airport transfers. andBeyond Mnemba Island offers a sheer unpretentious paradise – just ten rustic palm-frond bandas sit nestled in a tropical casuarina pine forest fringed by a white coral sand beach. Cooling ocean breezes waft in through glass-free windows that are open to the elements. A covered walkway leads to a shuttered ensuite bathroom with huge glass beaded shower. WHAT WE LOVE ABOUT ANDBEYOND MNEMBA ISLAND � One lazy afternoon, ask one of the staff members to teach you how to play Mbao – a traditional wooden board game. � During a full or new moon, be sure to take a walk along the beach at low tide, when the whole atoll is exposed. � Watch turtles lay their eggs on Mnemba’s sandy shores. This happens year round, however, the laying season peaks between January and August and hatchings take place approximately two months later. This is a definite must-see! Depart by boat to the crossing point, where a member of the our team will meet and transfer you to Zanzibar International Airport for your flight to Dar es Salaam Domestic Airport. On arrival at the Domestic Terminal of Dar es Salaam International Airport you will be met by an our representative and transferred to the International Terminal for your outbound flight.

When and where does the tour end?
Your tour Ends in Arusha or Kilimanjaro Airport. We highly recommend booking accommodation to give yourself time to ease any logistics one day before safari!
When and where does the tour start?
Day 1 of this tour is an arrival day, and it will involve a pick up from airport for flight to Lake Manyara
What about the local language? Do we need guide services everywhere?
We provide English speaking chauffeurs for individual tours. For group tours, English speaking tour escorts would accompany the groups. During sightseeing involving historically important places or monuments, we provide English speaking local guides who are well knowledged in history and culture. We could even provide guides who speak French, German and Japanese but only on advanced booking.
Is tipping included in the tour cost? If not how much should it be for the trip?
Tipping is not included in any of our packages and it is left the discretion of the travellers. Though not compulsory, tipping is expected by one and all involved in the service industry. We would recommend carrying small change in your pocket. Tips to Guides or other services rendered (Highly recommended)
What is the age travel limit for children?
We accept children of all ages to travel on safari and believe it is a wonderful experience for families to travel together. For children to make the most out of their travels, we suggest looking into one of our special family itineraries. We have car seats available for very young children. Please bear in mind, some of the accommodation have minimum age restrictions, so please inform us of the age of your child/children.
