Tonight, dinner and overnight at Maramboi Tented Lodge. This lovely property is situated in the ecosystem of lake Manyara, in fields of golden vegetation, and brings together premium services, exclusive attentions and genuine hospitality in a spectacular scene. Its elegant tents are built on raised wood platforms with a private terrace and views of Lake Manyara and the Rift Valley and is the perfect property after a safari in Tarangire or Lake Manyara. A game drive in the Ngorongoro Crater starts early. You’ll be at the park gates when they open at 6.00am, and your day starts with views over the largest intact volcanic caldera in the world. At 259 square kilometres (160 square miles), the sheer size of the crater makes it difficult to comprehend the height of the towering walls, but the wind and clouds up here give you a hint. The rim of the crater sits around 610 metres (2,001 feet) above the crater floor, and you’ll begin your descent to a naturally contained ecosystem home to zebra, wildebeest, buffalo, lion, hyena, jackal and even critically endangered black rhino. You can spend up to six hours in the crater before heading back to your lodge. Dinner and overnight Acacia Farm Lodge.
Today transferred to Lake Manyara National Park. Enjoy a game drive in this park, well known for it's tree-climbing lions, the soda ash lake that attracts thousands and pink flamingos and one of Tanzania’s biggest elephant population with breathtaking scenery! During your time in the park, head out on treetop walkway for an exciting experience of untouched nature and wildlife from a unique perspective. The treetop walkway is a 370m airwalk that starts with a short board-walk that gradually rises from ground level up through the canopy of the forest. You walk over a series of suspension bridges with thick netting on the sides, and reach a height of 18m off the ground. Each of the bridges end on a viewing deck situated around tree trunks. These treetop platforms are perfect places to stop and enjoy life in the canopy amongst butterflies, monkeys and birds. During this walk, guides will point out interesting facts about the Lake Manyara flora and fauna, while you can enjoy a unique birds-eye view of the world around you. This is Tanzania's first Treetop Walkway and one of the longest in Africa. A great outdoor activity for nature lovers and adventure seekers. After game drive back to Arusha airport.
