Despite the influence of modernity, Tanzania remains a vibrant tapestry of cultural heritage, where ancient rituals and customs are still practiced, celebrating life’s milestones—birth, puberty, marriage, and death—through traditional ceremonies.

Your adventure begins in the colorful town of Arusha and takes you through the stunning landscapes of Tarangire National Park, famous for its iconic baobab trees. Next, journey to the breathtaking Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCO World Heritage site, and explore the vast Serengeti, home to incredible wildlife.

One of the highlights of this tour is the opportunity to visit the Hadzabe tribe, known for their traditional nomadic lifestyle. Living around Lake Eyasi, these bushmen communicate in a unique click language similar to that of other Kalahari bushmen. Despite facing threats to their existence, they have preserved their rich cultural heritage.

Day 1

Arrival Day

On arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, you’ll be met by your transfer driver who will drive you for about 90 minutes to your hotel in Arusha. Look out for iconic views of Mount Kilimanjaro and Mount Meru out of your right-hand window on the way. If you arrive early, there will be time for you to spend the afternoon bird watching in the garden, enjoy a coffee tasting tour in a nearby estate, visit a market in town or simply relax by the pool. After a tasty dinner in your hotel, you will spend your first night in Tanzania relaxing before heading off on your safari the following morning. Meals on request. Overnight: Kili Villa

Day 2

Game Drive to Tarangire National Park

After breakfast, transfer to Tarangire National Park for a thrilling safari. This park lies between the meadows of the Masai Steppe to the southeast and the lakes of the Great Rift Valley to the north and west. The permanent River Tarangire, known as the lifeline of the park, flows northward, providing vital water during the dry season when much of the area becomes parched. As it exits the park in the northwestern corner, it feeds into Lake Burungi. The park also features expansive swamps that transform into lush green plains during the dry season. Day 3

Monduli Juu Cultural

After breakfast, we depart from Tarangire with picnic lunch boxes and drive to Monduli. We begin our hike through a forest, guided by an armed ranger. Keep an eye out for buffaloes, elephants, and other wildlife in this vibrant ecosystem. After enjoying our packed lunch, we continue our ascent to the summit of Monduli Mountain, where stunning views of Mount Kilimanjaro and Mount Meru await. Dinner and overnight: Kisima Ngeda.

Day 4

Lake Eyasi – Cultural Interaction

After a quick cup of coffee or tea, jump into your vehicle for a visit to the Hadza tribe. This region surrounding Lake Eyasi has been home to the Hadza for over 10,000 years. In the early morning, hike down the trail for a special meeting with these hunter-gatherers, who lead a nomadic lifestyle, hunting with bow and arrow. You can even join them on their quest. Their click language resembles that of the Bushmen in South Africa, but your guide will help with translations. After this unique experience, return to the lodge for breakfast. Next, we depart for Ngorongoro Crater, spotting wildlife en route. Make a brief stop at one of the viewpoints on the crater rim to take in the splendid views. Day 5

Game Drive to Ngorongoro Crater

After breakfast, you'll embark on a journey to Ngorongoro for a day of discovery. The drive to the famous crater is a treat, winding through mist-shrouded rainforests where you may spot baboons, cape buffalo, and even elephants among the thick undergrowth. A stop at the Ngorongoro Crater viewpoint offers stunning panoramic views of the crater floor, often dappled with clouds. As you descend into this world-famous crater—often called the 8th Wonder of the World—you'll explore the lush landscape at its base. Keep an eye out for the endangered black rhinoceros, as well as other members of the Big Five: lion, leopard, elephant, and cape buffalo. Marvel at herds of wildebeest and zebras, watch lions and hyenas competing over a fresh kill, and enjoy the sight of thousands of flamingoes feeding in the crater's soda lakes. A highlight will be a picnic lunch by the hippo pool, where you can savor a delicious meal just a few feet away from wallowing hippopotamuses. Day 6

Masai Village Visit- Olduvai Gorge

After breakfast, you'll embark on a scenic drive toward the Serengeti. Along the way, enjoy two enriching cultural experiences: a visit to Oldupai Gorge and a traditional Masai boma. Stopping at Oldupai Gorge offers a fascinating glimpse into human prehistory. Here, volcanic ash has perfectly preserved the footprints of ancient men and women who once inhabited the region. At the Oldupai Gorge Museum, you can learn more about the journey of these early hunter-gatherers as they ventured out of Africa to populate the world. Next, you’ll visit a Masai boma, where you'll have the opportunity to meet the local Masai people. Step inside a traditional Masai home to see their way of life, purchase locally made crafts, and witness vibrant traditional dancing. Take a stroll around the village to learn about their daily routines and cultural practices. After this cultural immersion, continue your journey to Serengeti National Park. Enjoy a picnic lunch before setting off on an afternoon game drive, where you’ll have the chance to spot the Big Five, as well as cheetahs, giraffes, and various antelope species that roam the plains. You’ll spend the night in the heart of the Serengeti. Dinner and overnight: Melia Serengeti.

Game Drive in Serengeti

Spend two full days exploring the world-renowned wildlife of the Serengeti. Each day, you'll embark on two game drives: one early in the morning and another in the late afternoon. Experience the thrill of spotting majestic animals in their natural habitat, stopping for a refreshing sundowner as the sun sets over the savannah. After a day of adventure, return to the lodge for dinner and unwind around a cozy campfire, sharing stories of your day's encounters.

When and where does the tour end?

Your tour Ends in Arusha Airport. We highly recommend booking accommodation to give yourself time to ease any logistics one day before safari!

When and where does the tour start?

Day 1 of this tour is an arrival day, and it will involve a drop off from your Kilimanjaro airport to your hotel in Arusha.

Do you arrange airport transfers?

We definitely have airport pick up and drop up services available for our clients who have booked our full packages tour. We are also pleased to inform you that we don’t charge for the pick up and drop off services. Actually it’s free of cost. But for this you need to provide the arrival time and date.

What about the local language? Do we need guide services everywhere?

We provide English speaking chauffeurs for individual tours. For group tours, English speaking tour escorts would accompany the groups. During sightseeing involving historically important places or monuments, we provide English speaking local guides who are well knowledged in history and culture. We could even provide guides who speak French, German and Japanese but only on advanced booking.

Is tipping included in the tour cost? If not how much should it be for the trip?

Tipping is not included in any of our packages and it is left the discretion of the travellers. Though not compulsory, tipping is expected by one and all involved in the service industry. We would recommend carrying small change in your pocket. Tips to Guides or other services rendered (Highly recommended)

What is the age travel limit for children?

We accept children of all ages to travel on safari and believe it is a wonderful experience for families to travel together. For children to make the most out of their travels, we suggest looking into one of our special family itineraries. We have car seats available for very young children. Please bear in mind, some of the accommodation have minimum age restrictions, so please inform us of the age of your child/children.

Can I combine my safari with a trip to Zanzibar?

Definitely - Zanzibar is a great addition to any safari itinerary or even just as an idyllic escape on its own!
