A warm welcome awaits you on arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, gateway to Tanzania's famous northern safari highlights. You will be met and transferred by road to Arusha Villa beautifully located, in the middle of a coffee plantation. Monkeys swing through the giant trees. A short distance from the city and nature parks. Many activities possible from the villa. Safe, luxurious and with spacious double and family rooms. Overnight: Arusha Villa
After a leisurely breakfast at your hotel in Arusha, you will begin your journey to Tarangire National Park. Transfer southwest, through rural Tanzania until you reach the park gate. From here it is game driving all the way to the lodge. You will then spend the next two days exploring the unique landscapes of Tarangire National Park with all the luxury and flexibility that having your own private vehicle and guide has. Dinner and overnight: Tarangire Ndovu Lodge
An early morning road transfer carries you from Tarangire to Lake Manyara National Park . Lake Manyara's rich variety of natural habitats are set around the soda lake, itself a haven for clouds of flamingos and other waterbirds. This is a paradise for birding enthusiasts! The forested valleys and open savannah plains support a large elephant population as well as giraffe, buffalo and many antelope species. There are fewer predators but topping the list are Lake Manyara's lions, famous for their habit of climbing trees. Enjoy your game drive ending at Ngorongoro Farm House, your base for two nights. Dinner and overnight.
ou’ll want to get an early start so that you are amongst the first people down on the crater floor. Not only is that when it is quietest, but the lighting conditions are at their best, and the resident animals are at their most active too. You’ll have some morning coffee and breakfast on the crater floor before going on an unforgettable game drive. Lunch can be taken next to a hippo pool and then you will continue your drive looking out for The Big Five, including the rare black rhino. When it’s time to start the return journey, your guide will drive you back up the steep walls of the caldera to the rim, and onwards to your lodge for a chance to freshen up and enjoy a drink in the bar before dinner. Overnight: Ngorongoro Farm House
fter breakfast overlooking the lush gardens filled with zebra, a short flight from Lake Manyara airstrip takes you to the rolling grasslands known to the local Maasai as Siringet - ‘a vast land that runs forever, where endless plains meet the sky’ - and Tanzania's first game reserve, the Serengeti National Park. One of the oldest ecosystems on Earth. An excellent all-year-round game-viewing destination, the Serengeti is of course the setting for the great wildebeest migration. Sweeping across the Serengeti grasslands between November and July, the wildebeest herds create a spectacle that attracts predators from near and far. You are guaranteed heart-in-mouth game viewing, not least during the notorious June and July river crossings. On arrival at Seronera airstrip, your guide will be waiting to game drive you to Ehlane Plains Camp- your lodgings for the next three days. Ehlane Plains Camp has been established in the far eastern plains of the Serengeti, a remote and wildlife-filled pocket of the savannah. This is where the magic begins, this is where your dream of wild Africa comes alive. ‘Ehlane’ is a Zulu word which translates to ‘wilderness’. The area teems with prides of lions, cheetahs roaming, large packs of hyena and leopards confidently striding through their ranges. What brings them here? This exclusive expanse of the Serengeti is where the acacia woodlands borders the great savannah, attracting herbivore masses of elephant, giraffe, zebra, warthog and more. When carnivore meets herbivore on the open plain; it’s time to rumble. Dinner and overnight: Ehlane Plains Camp
