Ol Pejeta Bush Camp

Your journey begins at Ol Pejeta Bush Camp in the Ol Pejeta Conservancy, a private reserve that is home to the world’s only two surviving northern white rhinos. Travel Itinerary

Day 1-3

Arrival Nairobi

We will meet you at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, Nairobi, And Transfer to Ol Pejeta Bush Camp, Laikipia Plateau Overnight in Ol Pejeta Bush Camp Once you have completed your passport and immigration formalities, an Asilia guide will meet and welcome you. You will drive for approximately five hours through picturesque flower farms and vibrant market towns. On arrival at the Ol Pejeta Conservancy in the central Laikipia region, the dramatic and iconic snow-capped peaks of Mount Kenya overlooking this magnificent wildlife conservancy are self-evident. At Ol Pejeta Bush Camp, you and the kids can enjoy game drives in search of lion, cheetah, buffaloe, elephant, white rhino, and black rhino. Thrilling night drives add a new layer of adventure to your family excursions. You will also visit the enclosure for endangered species and meet the world's last two remaining Northern White rhinos. The rangers share the remarkable work of saving the species from extinction and protecting others here. A cultural visit to explore and learn about the diverse cultures and traditions of the local people is an essential experience. Ol Pejeta has seven tents, one of which is designed specifically for families. All accommodation offer an en suite bathroom, flushing toilets and hot running water.  After an exciting day’s adventure, as the evening approaches, you can gather around the fire and relax with a favourite beverage while listening to the lions in the conservancy roar into the distance. Additionally, hearing the kid’s stories of the day will be a highlight.

Day 4-7

Mara Naboisho Conservancy

With the distant silhouette and snow-capped peaks of Mount Kenya as a memorable backdrop, enjoy a final delicious breakfast. Once packed, you will be taken to the local airstrip to connect with your flight to the Mara Naboisho Conservancy adjoining the famous Masai Mara National Reserve. On arrival at the airstrip, you will be met and welcomed by a guide who will drive you to the boutique Encounter Mara. After settling into your comfortable family-style tented accommodation, a delightful lunch will be served beneath the shade of acacia trees. While savouring your tasty meals from the viewing deck, enjoy seeing zebra strolling over to the nearby saltlick and graceful giraffe promenading nearby. Offering ten tents with en suite bathrooms, flushing toilets, and hot water showers, you will all feel right at home and like a member of the Encounter Mara family. The camp is on the private Mara Naboisho Conservancy, offering a very high density and variety of wildlife sightings amidst a low number of safari vehicles, an ideal safari scenario. Lion, cheetah, leopard, giraffe, elephant, zebra and a wide variety of game call this conservancy home. Spend exciting days on safaris in the early morning and late afternoon into the evenings, taking advantage of milder periods of the day. Pre-dinner drinks at the bar and sumptuous meals under the twinkling stars will round off perfect, fun-filled family days.

Day 8

Departure Day

After indulging in a delightfully satisfying breakfast, you and the family will be transferred to the local airstrip to connect with your flight to Wilson Airport, followed by an approximate 30-minute private transfer to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, Nairobi to connect with your onward flight.

When and where does the tour end?

Your tour Ends in Nairobi city . We highly recommend booking accommodation to give yourself time to fully experience the wonders of this iconic city of Nairobi City one day before safari! all cost is not included accommodation before and after safari.

When and where does the tour start?

Day 1 of this tour is an arrivals day, which gives you a chance to settle into your hotel and explore in Nairobi. The only planned activity for this day is an evening welcome meeting at 7pm, where you can get to know your guides and fellow travellers. Please be aware that the meeting point is subject to change until your final documents are released.

Do you arrange airport transfers?

Definitely we have airport pick up and drop up facilities for our clients who have booked our full packages tour. We are also pleased to inform you that we don’t charge for the pick up and drop up facilities. Actually it’s free of cost. But for this you need to provide the arrival time and date.

What about the local language? Do we need guide services everywhere?

We provide English speaking chauffeurs for individual tours. For group tours, English speaking tour escorts would accompany the groups. During sightseeing involving historically important places or monuments, we provide English speaking local guides who are well knowledged in history and culture. We could even provide guides who speak French, German and Japanese, only on advanced booking.

Is tipping included in the tour cost? If not how much should it be for the trip?

Tipping is not included in any of our packages and it is left the discretion of the travellers. Though not compulsory, tipping is expected by one and all involved in the service industry. We would recommend carrying small change in your pocket. Tips to Guides or other services rendered (Highly recommended)

Do you accept kids to this tour?

We accept children of all ages to travel on safari and believe it is a wonderful experience for families to travel together. For children to make the most out of their travels, we suggest looking into one of our special family itineraries. We have car seats available for very young children. Please bear in mind, some of the accommodation have minimum age restrictions, so please inform us of the age of your child/children.
