To walk through the African bush is to truly experience Africa up close. During your 11 Days Explore the Serengeti on Foot, you will discover that smells become subtle and varied, and every sound carries significance. Birds and butterflies transform into individuals you notice and study, rather than simply rushing past in the race for larger game. When the bigger animals appear, you meet them at eye level, sharing the same earth. Safety never becomes a concern—armed, experienced guides and game rangers accompany every walk, ensuring a secure environment.

Your camp will pack up and transport to the next location using various methods such as pick-up trucks, porters, or donkeys. This camping style remains lightweight and highly mobile. You will embark on several days of walking, traveling like nomads across the African bush, often miles from any roads or tracks. Typically, your day begins with a light breakfast, allowing you to start walking around 06:30 AM. Your camp cook prepares a packed breakfast, which you can enjoy on a rock or beside a stream in the wilderness.

Your guide aims to have you back in camp before it gets too hot for a sit-down lunch. You will spend afternoons like the animals, with eyes closed in a shady spot. As the day cools down, you will set off on a shorter afternoon walk to enjoy an unforgettable African sunset.

Join us for this unique journey to experience the beauty of the Serengeti National Park on foot, and immerse yourself in the captivating sights and sounds of the African wilderness.
