Day 1

Arrival and Briefing

On arrival at Entebbe International Airport in Uganda and after finalizing the formalities, you shall be welcomed by a guide, who will then drive you to The Boma Entebbe Hotel. Experience 1 night at The Boma Entebbe Hotel in a Room with ensuite bathroom. Your stay includes breakfast only.
The Boma Hotel Entebbe Entebbe, Uganda One of Entebbe’s most exclusive hotels, the Boma Hotel sits in a leafy suburb just a few minutes away from Entebbe International Airport. Surrounded by a lush, tropical garden, the hotel effortlessly mixes together local tradition and the charm of a 1940’s colonial home. This intimate hotel offers just 15 luxurious ensuite rooms, individually decorated with a tasteful blend of African fabric and colonial furnishings. Day 2 - 3

Kidepo Valley National Park

Today, you will transfer to Kajjansi Airstrip and then fly to Kidepo Valley National Park – Apoka Airstrip. On arrival, you will meet with your driver guide and transfer to your lodge. The park lies in the rugged, semi arid valleys between Uganda’s borders with Sudan and Kenya, some 700km from Kampala. Gazetted as a national park in 1962, it has a profusion of big game and hosts over 77 mammal species as well as around 475 bird species. Kidepo is Uganda’s most isolated national park is also the most magnificent, for Kidepo ranks among Africa’s finest wildernesses. You will arrive at your accommodation in the National Park in time for lunch, enjoy your lunch and relax a little bit at your accommodation. Later on, you will go for an evening game drive. Murchison Falls National Park

After breakfast proceed to the next highlight of your memorable tour in Uganda, going on to the beautiful north- western Uganda Murchison Falls National Park. Murchison Falls National Park sits on the shore of Lake Albert, in northwest Uganda. It’s known for Murchison Falls, where the Victoria Nile River surges through a narrow gap over a massive drop. Park wildlife includes elephants and hippos, and there are chimpanzees in the Kaniyo Pabidi mahogany forest. The Lake Albert Delta is home to rare shoebill storks. Proceed to your Lodge. Murchison Falls National Park, Uganda Nile Safari Lodge is a luxury eco-friendly safari lodge located on the Victoria Nile River banks in Uganda. Day 6-7

Fort Portal

Today you will transfer to Bugungi Airstrip and then fly to Kasese Airstrip, upon arrival, you will meet with your guide and transfer to Kibale Forest National park. Along the way you will pass many tea plantations. On the way you stop in Fort Portal. In the afternoon you will arrive at your accommodation, later in the day, you may choose to take a walk along the Crater Lake or go for kayaking on the Lake. Otherwise spend the rest of the day at leisure.

Spend 2 night at Kyaninga Lodge Standard Room with ensuite bathroom. Your stay includes all meals. Today you will track the most famous inhabitants of Kibale National Park, the chimpanzees. With over 1,450 individuals protected within the park, Kibale forest is home to the largest number of the endangered chimpanzees in Uganda, as well as the threatened red colobus monkey and the rare L’Hoest’s monkey.
The forest has one of the highest diversity and density of primates in Africa totaling 13 species including the black and white colobus, blue monkey and grey-cheeked mangabey, red tailed monkey, bush babies and pottos. In the afternoon after tracking, you have the opportunity for a guided walk through the swamps of Bigodi. After the fascinating walk you have the choice of relaxing in the accommodation or community walk in a village nearby . Day 8-9

Semuliki National Park

Today you will drive to Semliki National Park with an area of 220 sq km is one of the newest national parks in Uganda. On arrival, you may choose to visit the Sempaya Hot Springs which are Semliki national park's most famous attraction. The “male” spring, known as Bintente, measures 12m in diameter and is set in a lush swampy clearing. In the evening enjoy a game drive in the reserve. There are about 53 different kinds of mammals found in the Semliki Valley and 27 of are larger animals and 11 of them are only found in this area such as pygmy antelopes, two different kinds of flying squirrels, hopefully, you will also see the unique water chevron that has been named the fanged deer. Day 10-11

Southern Queen Elizabeth National Park

After breakfast you will drive today to the world-famous Queen Elizabeth National Park, crossing the equator along the way. Named after her Majesty the Queen of England, it is Uganda's most popular and most scenic game reserves. It stretches from the crater-dotted foothills of the Rwenzori range in the north, along the shores of Lake Edward to the remote Ishasha River in the south, incorporating a wide variety of habitats that range from savanna and wetlands and lowland forest. You shall have an evening game drive in the park Spend 2 nights at Kyambura Gorge Lodge in a Standard Room with ensuite bathroom. Your stay includes all meals. Included activities:

Day 12

Southern Queen Elizabeth National Park

After an early morning breakfast, you will drive to Ishasha which is in the southern part of Queen Elisabeth National Park. Queen Elizabeth National Park is estimated as one of the national parks in the world, which has the highest Biodiversity of plants and animals. The landscape consists of open savannah, rainforest, dense papyrus swamps, crater lakes and the incredibly wide Lake Edward. You will have a game drive in search of tree climbing lions that are commonly found in this part of the park. Spend 1 nights at Ishasha Wilderness Camp in a standard room with ensuite bathroom. Ishasha Wilderness Camp Southern Queen Elizabeth National Park, Uganda Set in the southern Ishasha sector of the Queen Elizabeth National Park, on the Ntungwe River, the Ishasha Wilderness Camp is an idyllic retreat for guests who enjoy a true wilderness experience. Day 13-15

Bwindi Impenetrable Forest

Today you will drive to Bwindi National Park Buhoma sector and then take a walk from Buhoma Sector through Bwindi Forest along the Ivy trail to Nkuringo Sector. In Buhoma, you will be dropped off at the starting point for briefing after which you will start your 5 hours walk to Nkuringo. Your Luggage will be transferred separately to Nkuringo. As you approach Nkuringo you will walk through Villages and interact with the locals. Bwindi National park is home to the endangered mountain gorillas. This fascinating mountain forest hosts chimpanzees and spectacular birds. There are 23 of the 24 Albertine Rift endemic bird species including Blue-throated Broadbill, bar-tailed Trogon and other beautiful forest species. Alternatively, the guests can take a ride from Buhoma sector to Nkuringo sector. Spend 3 nights at Clouds Mountain Gorilla Lodge in a cottage with ensuite bathroom. Your stay includes all meals. Recommended activities (at additional cost): Full day Gorilla tracking in Nkuringo (Optional)
OPTIONAL ACTIVITIES IN BWINDI NATIONAL PARK There is optional activities such: choose to go for a second gorilla trekking but this time trekking a different family, alternatively take a guided Forest walk in Bwindi impenetrable National Park, led by an experience guide, you will come across different bird species, butterflies, a number of monkey species like the colobus monkeys and also get to learn about a few plant and tree species in the forest. OR you could take a walk to the nearby local communities, and watch the women of the community showcase their culture through traditional dance, look at their art and crafts and get to learn more about their way of life and culture. Otherwise spend the day at leisure at the Lodge.
Clouds Mountain Gorilla Lodge Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, Uganda Set on a forested ridge near the entrance to the Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, Clouds Mountain Gorilla Lodge boasts eight spacious cottages built from volcanic stone. Day 16

Departure

After an early morning breakfast, you will be transfered to Kisoro Airstrip and then fly back to Entebbe enjoying the beautiful aerial view of south western Uganda, the hills and thick vegetation as well as the farming practiced by the locals. Later drive: to the Airport and catch your flight back home.

When and where does the tour end?

Your tour will conclude in Kampala  on Day 16 of the trip. There are no activities planned for this day so you're free to depart at any time. We highly recommend booking post-accommodation to give yourself time to fully experience the wonders of this iconic city.

When and where does the tour start?

Day 1 of this tour is an arrivals day, which gives you a chance to settle into your hotel and explore Kampala. The only planned activity for this day is an evening welcome meeting at 7pm, where you can get to know your guides and fellow travellers. Please be aware that the meeting point is subject to change until your final documents are released.

Do you arrange airport transfers?

Definitely we have airport pick up and drop up facilities for our clients who have booked our full packages tour. We are also pleased to inform you that we don’t charge for the pick up and drop up facilities. Actually it’s free of cost. But for this you need to provide the arrival time and date.

What about the local language? Do we need guide services everywhere?

We provide English speaking chauffeurs for individual tours. For group tours, English speaking tour escorts would accompany the groups. During sightseeing involving historically important places or monuments, we provide English speaking local guides who are well knowledged in history and culture. We could even provide guides who speak French, German and Japanese, only on advanced booking.

Is tipping included in the tour cost? If not how much should it be for the trip?

Tipping is not included in any of our packages and it is left the discretion of the travellers. Though not compulsory, tipping is expected by one and all involved in the service industry. We would recommend carrying small change in your pocket. Tips to Guides or other services rendered (Highly recommended)

How old do children need to be to go on Safari?

There is a minimum age limit for gorilla tracking of 15 years (no exceptions).
