Experience the African bush up close on this immersive walking safari. Explore Lake Manyara National Park and Ngorongoro Crater, guided by experienced rangers. Enjoy the treetop walkway in Manyara, and discover the unique wildlife and vibrant landscapes. Perfect for nature lovers and adventurers!

To walk through the African bush is to experience Africa close-up. The smells are subtle and varied, while every sound carries significance. Birds and butterflies become individuals, noticed and studied, rather than rushed past in the pursuit of larger game. When larger animals appear, they are met at eye level, allowing for a unique connection to wildlife. Safety is assured with armed, experienced guides and game rangers accompanying all walks.

Your camp is transported to the next location using various methods, including pick-up trucks, porters, or donkeys. This lightweight, mobile camping style allows for several days of walking, traveling like nomads across the African landscape, often miles from any roads or tracks.

On this tour, you will visit Lake Manyara National Park and Ngorongoro Crater. In Manyara, experience the treetop walkway, the first of its kind in Tanzania, providing a unique perspective to explore the park. You’ll also have opportunities for birdwatching, photography, and engaging with local cultures, making this adventure truly unforgettable. Whether it’s the vibrant wildlife or the breathtaking landscapes, this safari offers a comprehensive look at the beauty and diversity of the African bush.

Day 2

Ngorongoro Crater

A game drive in the Ngorongoro Crater starts early. You’ll be at the park gates when they open at 6.00am, and your day starts with views over the largest intact volcanic caldera in the world. At 259 square kilometres (160 square miles), the sheer size of the crater makes it difficult to comprehend the height of the towering walls, but the wind and clouds up here give you a hint. The rim of the crater sits around 610 metres (2,001 feet) above the crater floor, and you’ll begin your descent to a naturally contained ecosystem home to zebra, wildebeest, buffalo, lion, hyena, jackal and even critically endangered black rhino. You can spend up to six hours in the crater before heading back to your lodge. Dinner and overnight Acacia Farm Lodge.

Day 3

Lake Manyara

Today transferred to Lake Manyara National Park. Enjoy a game drive in this park, well known for it's tree-climbing lions, the soda ash lake that attracts thousands and pink flamingos and one of Tanzania’s biggest elephant population with breathtaking scenery! During your time in the park, head out on treetop walkway for an exciting experience of untouched nature and wildlife from a unique perspective. The treetop walkway is a 370m airwalk that starts with a short board-walk that gradually rises from ground level up through the canopy of the forest. You walk over a series of suspension bridges with thick netting on the sides, and reach a height of 18m off the ground. Each of the bridges end on a viewing deck situated around tree trunks. These treetop platforms are perfect places to stop and enjoy life in the canopy amongst butterflies, monkeys and birds. During this walk, guides will point out interesting facts about the Lake Manyara flora and fauna, while you can enjoy a unique birds-eye view of the world around you. This is Tanzania's first Treetop Walkway and one of the longest in Africa. A great outdoor activity for nature lovers and adventure seekers. After game  drive back to Arusha airport.
