Discover Zanzibar Paradise: A Journey to Tropical Bliss

Karibu! Welcome to paradise! When you think of Zanzibar, the name immediately evokes images of an exotic destination, rich with history and blessed with tropical beauty. This island not only boasts all the essentials for an unforgettable getaway—sun, sand, and charm—but also offers a unique cultural experience that you won’t want to miss.

Zanzibar’s history is complex; as the last stronghold of the African slave trade and a major clove-growing region, the island has a dual nature. The sultans of this magical spice island used their wealth to construct grand palaces and bathhouses, showcasing both its ruthless past and fragrant allure.

With stunning beaches and hidden coves, Zanzibar serves as a breathtaking escape for travelers seeking relaxation and adventure. Its lush interior, filled with clove and cinnamon plantations, invites exploration and discovery. Scattered ruins of palaces, baths, and ancient mosques serve as poignant reminders of a bygone era. For instance, you can wander through the vibrant markets of Stone Town, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, where local culture and history come alive.

Furthermore, the entire coast is surrounded by vibrant coral gardens thriving in turquoise waters, making it ideal for snorkeling and diving. You can enjoy activities such as sailing on a traditional dhow or simply relaxing on the pristine beaches.

In conclusion, if you’re looking to discover Zanzibar paradise, prepare for a journey filled with beauty, adventure, and rich cultural experiences. For more information on planning your trip, check out our Zanzibar Travel Guide and explore Top Things to Do in Zanzibar.

Prison Island And Stone Town Tour

yle="font-weight: 400;">This morning you will enjoy breakfast at your hotel, before meeting our expert local guide for a tour of Stone Town, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Over the centuries, many cultures have left their impressions on Zanzibar and it is perhaps in Stone Town where you can most easily see their influences. Your guide will lead you first to the colorful market, awash with exotic smells and buzzing with bartering locals. Afterwards, you will visit the calm of the 19th C cathedral, built on the former site of the slave market after the 1873 abolition of slavery. As you wander the narrow streets and alleys, you’ll pass the Arab houses with their inner courtyards, hidden behind heavy doors. You can compare their style with the Indian residences, adorned with balustrades and metal railings. Amongst the town’s historic sites are the ‘Tip Tip House,’ the Old Fort and the People’s Palace Museum. Lunch will be taken at the Silk Route Indian rooftop restaurant, with views to the ocean. The Silk Route is full of character, so enjoy the excellent cuisine, perhaps washing it down with a cocktail. After the tour, we will transfer you to your beach hotel for your dinner, an evening at leisure and the remainder of your stay. https://www.royalzanzibar.com  with all meals.
