Travel Itinerary

Day 1

Dar es Salaam - Ruaha

Your safari starts with a light aircraft flight from the bustling metropolis of Dar es Salaam into the heart of the Ruaha National Park. Not only does Ruaha enjoy abundant wildlife, but the magnificent and constantly changing landscapes add a magical touch to the whole experience. Baobabs dot the rocky hillsides, the cool green shade along the River, the open grassy plains, all make a wonderful and exciting trip. You’ll be met by a driver at the airstrip who will take you to your camp to settle in. Dinner and Overnight at Jabali Ridge camp

Day 2

Full Day Game Drive

To day head out for a full day game drive game drive in the park. The best times to depart on a game drive are early morning and late afternoon to avoid the heat of the day, when animals are less active. It also allows us to find predators such as lions either setting off hunting at dusk or wrapping up after a busy night. Dinner and your overnight stay are at Jabali Ridge.

Day 3

Walking Safari and Night Game Drive

After a quick cup of coffee head out for the morning walking safaris, Feel part of the Ruaha landscape by taking a walking safaris with one of our experienced guides and local trackers. This is a completely different way to experience the bush. Your senses are much more engaged as you spot tiny but fascinating creatures you’d never see from the vehicle, such as dung beetles, ants and butterflies. go camp to the camp to relax, waiting for a night game drive. After dinner head out for night game drive. It’s a special opportunity to spot shy, nocturnal animals and those that prey on them. With the aid of a knowledgeable guide, keep your eyes out for leopard, genet, serval, honey badger, civet and African wildcats on the hunt; as well as bushbabies, nightjars and owls going about their business. Take a moment to gaze up at the breathtaking night sky.

Departure Day

After breakfast game drive to the airstrip for flight back to Dar es Salaam or Zanzibar

When and where does the tour start?

Day 1 of this tour is an arrival day, and it will involve a pick up at DAR airport  and drop off domestic airport for your flight to Ruaha

Do you arrange airport transfers?

We definitely have airport pick up and drop up services available for our clients who have booked our full packages tour. We are also pleased to inform you that we don’t charge for the pick up and drop off services. Actually it’s free of cost. But for this you need to provide the arrival time and date.

What about the local language? Do we need guide services everywhere?

We provide English speaking chauffeurs for individual tours. For group tours, English speaking tour escorts would accompany the groups. During sightseeing involving historically important places or monuments, we provide English speaking local guides who are well knowledge in history and culture. We could even provide guides who speak French, German and Japanese but only on advanced booking

Is tipping included in the tour cost? If not how much should it be for the trip?

Tipping is not included in any of our packages and it is left the discretion of the travellers. Though not compulsory, tipping is expected by one and all involved in the service industry. We would recommend carrying small change in your pocket. Tips to Guides or other services rendered (Highly recommended)

What is the age travel limit for children?

We accept children of all ages to travel on safari and believe it is a wonderful experience for families to travel together. For children to make the most out of their travels, we suggest looking into one of our special family itineraries. We have car seats available for very young children. Please bear in mind, some of the accommodation have minimum age restrictions, so please inform us of the age of your child/children.

When is the best time to travel for this tour?

This tour is great for any time of year, however the best time for game viewing in the parks is during the dry season from June to February when wildlife converges on the dwindling water reserves notably the river, lakes and waterholes.
