This morning, after breakfast, drive to Tarangire National Park and spend the afternoon exploring the park with game drives. The park is cut through by the Tarangire River, which proves a magnet for all wildlife during the long dry season when the surrounding area becomes completely parched. During the wet season, the wildlife is more scattered but still guarantee some sightings of Tarangire’s extensive elephant population. Large herds roam the riverbed whilst zebra, buffalo, gazelle, and wildebeest try to avoid the predatory advances of lion and leopard. Dinner and overnight at Maramboi tented camp.
After finishing up a good breakfast, you will head out towards the Serengeti National Park across Ngorongoro and travel in the midst of the never ending plain grasslands. The Serengeti is arguably the most impressive wildlife sanctuary in the world. You will have an afternoon game drive in the endless plains of the Serengeti for a chance to see the great herds of wildebeest, zebras and gazelles or a pride of lions lounging in the shade. A picnic lunch will be done during the day long game drive itself. The eventful day comes to an end with a heavy dinner and a good night’s rest at Kati kati tented camp
You can either have a relaxed breakfast and depart for game drives around 9:00 AM with packed lunch or you can depart at 6:00 AM on an early morning game drive. Later return to accommodation for breakfast and depart to North Serengeti with packed lunch. You will explore the central portion of the Serengeti National Park today and move towards the northern part of the park.The enroute game drive towards the Kogatende region will offer mild action from resident games. As you approach the northern part of the Serengeti, you will notice the terrain change from the usual plain grassland to a more hilly and broken terrain. The northern region offers a variety of resident game such as zebras, topi, gazelle, buffaloes, leopards and lions.A picnic lunch will be done during the day long drive itself. Based on the time of your arrival you will be able to spend a few hours by the Mara river. The eventful day comes to an end with a heavy dinner and a good night's rest at katikati tented camp
