Day 1

Arrival in the Serengeti – Welcome to the Wild

Your luxury adventure begins with a scenic bush flight into the Serengeti, landing at either the Grumeti or Sasakwa airstrip. Your private guide welcomes you with refreshments and a short briefing before you set off on a game drive en route to camp.

The drive introduces you to the Serengeti’s wonders—zebra herds, towering giraffes, and possibly even the elusive leopard. Upon arrival at &Beyond Grumeti Serengeti Tented Camp, settle into your beautifully designed suite overlooking the Grumeti River.

Enjoy a freshly prepared lunch, then take time to relax, swim, or simply listen to the rustle of the bush. In the late afternoon, head out on your first official game drive. As the sun paints the sky in hues of orange and gold, look for predators on the move and witness the magic of an African sundowner.

End your day with a candlelit dinner under the stars, surrounded by the calls of the wild.

Full-Day Safari Adventure – In the Realm of Giants

Wake up to the sound of birds and distant animal calls as the Serengeti stirs to life. After a hearty breakfast, venture out for a morning game drive when wildlife activity is at its peak. Track elephants moving gracefully across the plains, spot cheetahs scanning the horizon, and follow wildebeest as they graze in great numbers.

Return to camp for a gourmet lunch and some midday rest. Lounge on your private deck, enjoy a dip in the pool, or treat yourself to a massage (optional).

In the afternoon, embark on another exciting game drive to explore different parts of the reserve. Each outing reveals something new—whether it’s a lioness with cubs, a hippo pool at sunset, or a tower of giraffes crossing your path.

Back at camp, unwind with sundowners around the fire and enjoy another exquisite dinner under the stars.

Explore the Wild in Style – A Day Tailored to You

Today is yours to design. After breakfast, you may choose between two shorter game drives or a full-day safari with a picnic lunch in the bush. Venture deeper into the Serengeti to find less-visited corners where intimate wildlife encounters unfold.

This is your chance to truly connect with the rhythm of the land. You might witness a dramatic chase, observe hyenas at their den, or see elephants bathing at a watering hole.

Return to camp in the late afternoon. As your final night in the Serengeti approaches, enjoy a special farewell dinner. Depending on the weather, this may be a bush dinner surrounded by lanterns, complete with traditional Swahili music or storytelling by your guides.

Have a question in mind

Looking for more info? Send a question to the tour agent to find out more.

What is the best time of year to take this safari?

The Serengeti offers excellent wildlife viewing year-round. However, the dry season (June to October) is ideal for spotting animals, while the Great Migration typically moves through the Grumeti region between May and July.

Are flights to the Serengeti included in the package?

No, international and domestic flights are not included. However, we can assist with booking regional flights to and from the Serengeti (Grumeti or Sasakwa airstrip) upon request.

Is this safari suitable for children?

This safari is best suited for adults and older children. The camp has a minimum age policy (typically 6 years and above), and private vehicles are recommended for families traveling with younger children.

What kind of vehicles are used for game drives?

All game drives are conducted in custom-built 4x4 safari vehicles with open sides or large viewing windows, offering excellent visibility and comfort. Vehicles are shared unless a private vehicle is requested at an additional cost.

What should I pack for this safari?

We recommend packing neutral-colored clothing, a hat, sunglasses, sunscreen, insect repellent, comfortable closed shoes, a camera, binoculars, and any personal medication. A detailed packing list will be provided after booking.

Do I need travel insurance and vaccinations?

Yes. Comprehensive travel insurance is mandatory and should cover medical emergencies and trip cancellation. Yellow fever vaccination may be required depending on your travel history. We also recommend consulting your healthcare provider about malaria prophylaxis and other relevant vaccines.
