Your safari begins with a morning pick-up from Arusha airport or Kilimanjaro international airport and a briefing by your guide before you leave. Then, the open road beckons and you are soon heading for Tarangire National Park, Third largest, of all parks in Tanzania the park is dotted with amazingly big Baobab trees and the extraordinary herds of elephants; Tarangire is quite a place not to miss while on an African safari to Tanzania. Home to large elephant herds and a host of other animals including its tree-climbing lions. Once you enter the park, the roof of the 4X4 vehicle comes down and you spend the rest of the day watching wildlife, enjoying a packed lunch in the shade. After satisfactory game drives in Tarangire you will later in the afternoon drive back to Kitela Lodge Karatu with All meals included.
Your 5 Days Tanzania safari continues with a drive to the Serengeti this morning from ngorongoro. It is quite a long drive so we got to wake up early and after an early breakfast at the lodge, we are off to the most popular game park in Tanzania. This is the Serengeti National Park where the plains never end. The Serengeti is an excellent year-round destination for wildlife but it is when the Wildebeest Migration arrives – from about November to June - that you can expect some of its most iconic imagery. Your accommodation for the next two nights depends on the time of year: your tented camp is a mobile one and follows the rhythm of the Migration, almost guaranteeing you front-row seats to all the action. Your full day here is spent out on the Serengeti, taking advantage of your game-rich location and expert guide to enjoy amazing game sightings and plenty to talk about around the campfire later. Accommodation today will be in central serengeti called seronera area at serengeti, acommodation will be Lahia Lodge Serengeti with dinner.
Another full day in serengeti, The whole day is spent at the Serengeti plains driving around and trying to locate animals. The driver will be in some contact with other drivers around through the VHF radios fitted on all our vehicles so you are sure to see quite a lot of animal actions. Predators killing, predators chasing and antelopes running for their dear lives is a norm in the Serengeti and if you are lucky you will go out with a tale to tell. Serengeti is famous for many animal species, small and large alike. You expect to see elephants, zebras, wildebeests, buffaloes, topis, hyenas, cheetahs, and the recently introduced black rhinos if you are lucky. Accommodation today will be in Serengeti Kubukubu Lodge with dinner.
On this day we are headed to the Ngorongoro Crater; the Eighth wonder of the world as it is popularly referred to. It is an early start this morning as you drive back to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area and its showpiece – the Ngorongoro Crater. The remains of a gigantic volcanic explosion millions of years ago, it is now home to Africa’s densest concentration of big animals. Descending into the Crater, you begin to pick out the familiar shapes of elephant and buffalo on the crater floor, mingled with zebras, wildebeest and gazelles. It is also one of Africa’s greatest concentrations of big predators and lions, leopard and hyena are regularly seen, and you may see flamingos and hippos in the Crater’s lakes. Leaving on a different road, you travel to the town of Karatu and your final accommodation, Kitela Lodge, a stylish lodge set on a working coffee plantation. Complete with a swimming pool, lovely gardens and massage therapist, it makes a very comfortable way to finish your safari with dinner
You can linger over breakfast today as it is an easy drive back to Arusha. You stop for lunch on the way and arrive in town around noon where you will be taken to your airport – either from the local Arusha Airport or Kilimanjaro International Airport - for your onward connection.
