After a leisurely breakfast, transfer to Ngorongoro Conservation area, passing local towns for a thrilling crater safari. The Ngorongoro Crater was formed around 2.5 million years ago when a giant volcano exploded and collapsed on itself. Now an enclosed ecosystem and World Heritage Site, the Crater is the best place in East Africa to see the Big 5 and ending at Lion Paw Camps on the crater rim. The view of the cradled Lake Magadi in the crater’s base is a site to see from the lounge areas of our Eastern Rim Ngorongoro Crater accommodation, where you can sight large tusked elephants and endangered Black Rhinos with your binoculars from the comfort of the bar and lounge area. Today, game drive across the Ngorongoro highlands into Serengeti National Park. ending at Lemala Ewanjan Camp in the central area. Lemala Ewanjan is an authentic intimate tented camp set in a secluded part of the game-rich Seronera Valley in Central Serengeti. The Seronera region is an important wildlife transition zone between the southern grasslands and the northern woodlands and is renowned for its year-round game viewing due to its abundance of water in the many rivers, as well as for its large populations of resident big cats. Additionally, between April and June, and again between November and January, this area is crossed by the annual wildebeest migration, which provides always thrilling wildlife drama.
