Today morning our safari guide will meet you at your hotel, brief you about the safari and then begin the two hours drive to Tarangire National Park. Once inside the park you will see several animals and birds including the largest population of elephants in northern Tanzania. The park’s terrain is greatly varied with seasonal swamps and large Savannah. You will have a game drive and ending at Burunge tented camp for dinner and overnight.
After breakfast you will set out on a walking safari led by an experienced guided and an armed park ranger for a closer encounter with the gifts of Mother Nature. The major focus will be on the smaller Flora and fauna missed on the game drive as well as the various birds. After lunch back at the lodge and then go for a game drive in the back to see the amazing wildlife living here. In the evening you will return for dinner and the overnight at Burunge tented camp
After breakfast you will drive to the crater rim from where you will take on the steep and adventurous trail into the crater. Here, within a few square kilometres, you can find all the animals that live in the East African savannah. You will see a diversity of wildlife ranging from the “Big Five” – lion, elephant, buffalo, rhino and leopard – to wildebeests, Grant’s and Thomson’s gazelles and mountain reedbucks in the forests on the slopes. The crater is also one of the best places to see the magnificent but almost extinct black rhino. You will spend the morning on a game drive followed by a picnic lunch. During the early afternoon, you will leave the crater and travel to Gibb's Farm for Dinner and overnight.
