Travel Itinerary

Day 1

Arrival

Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport , you will be met and transferred to Arusha to recover from your journey and, if you’re lucky, to catch a glimpse of the spectacular Kilimanjaro which rises from the clouds above town. Overnight will be at Arusha Coffee Lodge

Day 2-4

Serengeti National Park

This morning you will commence your drive from Arusha to one of the most famous game parks in Africa, the Serengeti taking approx. 4 hours.  Here is home to millions of wildebeest during the migration and over the huge flat plains you are likely to find lion, cheetah, leopard, hyena and many other small predators. Enjoy an on-route game drive to your camp and the experience of sleeping in the middle of the Serengeti. You will spend the next few days exploring the endless plains of Serengeti, the great wildebeest migration and looking for the BIG 5. Overnight will be at Nimali Central Serengeti

Day 5

Serengeti National Park to Ngorongoro Conservation Area

An early morning start in the Serengeti to try and find cats before they retreat from the blazing sun during the day. After a few hours of game, drive travel to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area where you will overnight.  The Ngorongoro caldera is the largest unflooded and unbroken caldera in the world.  At approximately 20 kilometers across and 600 meters deep, the Ngorongoro Crater is a breath-taking natural wonder.Overnight will be at Lemala  Ngorongoro Tented Camp

Day 6

Ngorongoro crater and drive back to Arusha

This morning you will descend into the Ngorongoro Crater, a wonderful haven for wildlife.  Ngorongoro is unique in that almost all the wildlife lives within the crater walls, hence you have the opportunity to find the game easily.  Rhino in particular can be seen regularly, as well as prides of lion and other predators like cheetah. Enjoy lunch by the hippo pond. After Lunch, you will drive back to Arusha which takes approx. 2 hours. Overnight in Arusha at Arusha Coffee Lodge.

Day 7

Departure

Today you will be transferred back to  International Airport in time for your flight.

When and where does the tour end?

Your tour will conclude in Zanzibar on Day 15 of the trip. There are no activities planned for this day so you're free to depart at any time. We highly recommend booking post-accommodation to give yourself time to fully experience the wonders of this iconic city!

When and where does the tour start?

Day 1 of this tour is an arrivals day, which gives you a chance to settle into your hotel and explore Arusha City. The only planned activity for this day is an evening welcome meeting at 7pm, where you can get to know your guides and fellow travellers. Please be aware that the meeting point is subject to change until your final documents are released.

Do you arrange airport transfers?

Definitely we have airport pick up and drop up facilities for our clients who have booked our full packages tour. We are also pleased to inform you that we don’t charge for the pick up and drop up facilities. Actually it’s free of cost. But for this you need to provide the arrival time and date.

What about the local language? Do we need guide services everywhere?

We provide English speaking chauffeurs for individual tours. For group tours, English speaking tour escorts would accompany the groups. During sightseeing involving historically important places or monuments, we provide English speaking local guides who are well knowledged in history and culture. We could even provide guides who speak French, German and Japanese, only on advanced booking.

Is tipping included in the tour cost? If not how much should it be for the trip?

Tipping is not included in any of our packages and it is left the discretion of the travellers. Though not compulsory, tipping is expected by one and all involved in the service industry. We would recommend carrying small change in your pocket. Tips to Guides or other services rendered (Highly recommended)

How Old Can Go to this tour?

We accept children of all ages to travel on safari and believe it is a wonderful experience for families to travel together. For children to make the most out of their travels, we suggest looking into one of our special family itineraries. We have car seats available for very young children. Please bear in mind, some of the accommodation have minimum age restrictions, so please inform us of the age of your child/children.
