You will drive to your accommodation in Arusha, and on a clear day you may have views of Kilimanjaro en route. After a long day travelling you may want to rest, but if you want to keep yourself busy until the evening we can arrange a city tour or other experiences dependent on your interests. Dinner and overnight at Arusha Coffee lodge.

Day 2

Fly to Serengeti

This morning, your driver will transfer you from your hotel in Arusha to the airport for flight to Serengeti. On arrival at Seronera airstrip you will meet your guide and enjoy a scenic drive through the rolling plains of the Serengeti to Pioneer Camp by Elewana. Located in South Central Serengeti - Tanzania - (within the Moru Kopjes area), Serengeti Pioneer Camp is ideally situated to offer superlative access to the annual migration and the ‘Big 5’ with sweeping views overlooking Moru Kopjes, Lake Magadi and the endless plains. Dinner and overnight.

Day 3

Game drives in Serengeti

Day-long game drives are a must in the Serengeti.  You can set-off early with champagne picnic breakfast and stay out all day carrying your delectable picnic lunch.  You will be delighted and awed by the sheer numbers of game including the big-five. Back at the camp, enjoy a sundowner with spectacular views of the sunset on the sunset deck before dinner under the brilliant African skies. Overnight: Serengeti Pioneer Camp

Day 4

Calving Journey

Your next stop is a short flight to Olakira Migration Camp, our classic tented safari camp in the Ndutu region. Experience an intimate tented camp that follows the wildebeest migration across the Serengeti plains: Olakira Camp spends several months in two different locations to ensure ringside seats for all the drama of Nature's biggest show. Head south to the Ndutu region to witness the wildebeest birthing season or try the camp's northern location and watch the herds cross the crocodile-filled Mara River. Spend your time on morning and afternoon game drives in search of the Serengeti's remarkable wildlife before unwinding after a day of adventure and sharing your stories about the day's sightings around a campfire. And in Ndutu This prime wildlife location in the Ngorongoro Conservation Area borders the southern Serengeti region; it is here where you'll see hundreds of thousands of wildebeest as they gather to calve during January and February. At night, feel and hear African nature around you, while sleeping under the glittering night sky in your mesh-covered stargazing tent. The Serengeti is abundant with wildlife - see, hear and feel it up close on daily game drives in our comfortable, customised Land Cruisers, driven by our expert local safari guides.

Day 5-6

Wildebeest Calving and Stargazing

The best time to see wildlife is at dusk and dawn, when the temperatures are cooler and nocturnal animals are either beginning their night’s activities or winding down. We head out on our first game drive just as it begins to get light, so the time differs slightly depending on the season. If you have booked a private safari vehicle, you can plan your schedule with your guide. Start the day bright and early with a wake-up call and tea or coffee. Enjoy breakfast before you depart for a morning game drive (or have it packed as a picnic to take with you). You'll arrive back at camp mid-morning, with a chance to freshen up before lunch. After a leisurely lunch, enjoy some down time. Read a book or just relax and soak up the atmosphere. Refuel with afternoon tea before we depart for an afternoon/evening game drive with sundowners. Return in time for a relaxing evening of drinks around the campfire and dinner.

Day 7

Departure

Today, fly back to Arusha/ Kilimanjaro airport for onward arrangements.

Frequently Asked Questions

Let’s clarify your confusions. Here are some of the Frequently Asked Questions which most of our client asks.

Have a question in mind

Looking for more info? Send a question to the tour agent to find out more.

When and where does the tour end?

Your tour Ends in Arusha city . We highly recommend booking accommodation to give yourself time to fully experience the wonders of this iconic city of Arusha City one day before safari! all cost is not included accommodation before and after safari.

When and where does the tour start?

Day 1 of this tour is pick up from  Kilimanjaro international airport and transfer you to your hotel in Arusha for overnight.

Do you arrange airport transfers?

We definitely have airport pick up and drop up services available for our clients who have booked our full packages tour. We are also pleased to inform you that we don’t charge for the pick up and drop off services. Actually it’s free of cost. But for this you need to provide the arrival time and date.

What about the local language? Do we need guide services everywhere?

We provide English speaking chauffeurs for individual tours. For group tours, English speaking tour escorts would accompany the groups. During sightseeing involving historically important places or monuments, we provide English speaking local guides who are well knowledged in history and culture. We could even provide guides who speak French, German and Japanese but only on advanced booking.

Is tipping included in the tour cost? If not how much should it be for the trip?

Tipping is not included in any of our packages and it is left the discretion of the travellers. Though not compulsory, tipping is expected by one and all involved in the service industry. We would recommend carrying small change in your pocket. Tips to Guides or other services rendered (Highly recommended)

What is the age travel limit for children?

We accept children of all ages to travel on safari and believe it is a wonderful experience for families to travel together. For children to make the most out of their travels, we suggest looking into one of our special family itineraries. We have car seats available for very young children. Please bear in mind, some of the accommodation have minimum age restrictions, so please inform us of the age of your child/children.

When is best to travel for this tour?

December through to March. At this time of year, wildebeest are grazing and calving. There’s usually a break in the rains in January and February and there are fewer tourists in the Serengeti. Birders can spot some of the migratory birds.

How does the weather influence a safari?

While a safari holiday can be had at any time of year, it is worth noting that seasonality will impact the type of experience you’re likely to have as well as the cost of your safari. During the dry season, the wildlife tends to congregate around the few remaining watering holes. Vegetation at this time is sparse making the animals easier to spot. The wet season is abundant both in vegetation and wildlife, as this is the birthing season – which means predators come out in force to prey on vulnerable newborns. Whichever season you choose to travel in, rest assured that the chosen camps are well equipped for the East African climate and to ensure your comfort at all times.

Can I combine my safari with a trip to Zanzibar?

Definitely - Zanzibar is a great addition to any safari itinerary or even just as an idyllic escape on its own!
