What is the tipping etiquette in Tanzania?

Tipping is customary in Tanzania, especially for safari guides and camp staff. While tipping is not mandatory, it is appreciated as a gesture of thanks for excellent service. As a guideline, we suggest $10–$15 per person per day for guides, and $5–$10 per person per day for camp staff. It’s advisable to carry small denominations in U.S. dollars or Tanzanian shillings.
