Travel Itinerary
Day 1
Arrival at Serengeti National Park
Having flown in from Nairobi, Arusha or Kilimanjaro, meet your driver on day one at Kogatende Airstrip (in the north western Serengeti). The airstrip lies by the Mara river, so your first game drive begins the moment you step from the plane! After your short drive from the airstrip to the camp, a leisurely lunch is followed by time acclimatizing, gazing around yourself and realising you’ve just arrived in the heart of the African Bush! As you settle in, you might swim in the pool, enjoy a massage on your private deck or simply stare blissfully into the distance. Then a late afternoon drive gives you the chance to explore the local wildlife and enjoy a drink against the setting sun, before heading for the wonders of a Serengeti Bushtops dinner and overnight
Day 2 - 3
Game Drive in Serengeti National Park
After breakfast on your second day you set out for a full day’s game drive, including a sumptuous buffet lunch within the Serengeti National Park. This day-long adventure is likely to be the highlight of your stay, as the wonders of the Serengeti reveal themselves. go back to the camp for a hot tub and glass of something special It’s the ideal way to wind down before dinner at Serengeti Bushtop.
Day 4 - 8
Departs to Zanzibar
They say that every good thing has to end – and that parting is such sweet sorrow. However, one last natural wonder is left: the drive to the airstrip. This is your last opportunity to find something special in the landscape, so your ranger and spotter will be as keen as you are to pick out a final attraction to be captured as a parting memory, or on film forever. Upon your arrival at Zanzibar Airport you will be met by a member of our team who will drive you to the magical Mnemba Island. Your vehicle will drop you at Muyuni beach, a local fishing beach, where you will be collected by the Mnemba island team for your 10 minute boat transfer to the Island. Tread on soft creamy sand in barefoot luxury on a private island getaway, and discover the marine wonders of the rich coral reefs, and relax and indulge in time to yourself. Delight in languorous, dreamy days spent relaxing on the beach, holistically balancing your harmony with yoga sessions, being pampered with serene massages and wellness treatments, the gentle crash of the waves your idyllic soundtrack, and treating yourself to vibrantly colourful chilled cocktails, rounding off your perfect day. When and where does the tour start?
Day 1 of this tour is an arrival day, and it will involve a pick up from Serengeti airstrip.
What about the local language? Do we need guide services everywhere?
We provide English speaking chauffeurs for individual tours. For group tours, English speaking tour escorts would accompany the groups. During sightseeing involving historically important places or monuments, we provide English speaking local guides who are well knowledged in history and culture. We could even provide guides who speak French, German and Japanese but only on advanced booking.
Is tipping included in the tour cost? If not how much should it be for the trip?
Tipping is not included in any of our packages and it is left the discretion of the travellers. Though not compulsory, tipping is expected by one and all involved in the service industry. We would recommend carrying small change in your pocket. Tips to Guides or other services rendered (Highly recommended)
What is the age travel limit for children?
We accept children of all ages to travel on safari and believe it is a wonderful experience for families to travel together. For children to make the most out of their travels, we suggest looking into one of our special family itineraries. We have car seats available for very young children. Please bear in mind, some of the accommodation have minimum age restrictions, so please inform us of the age of your child/children.
