Today you will be picked at your hotel after completing your morning breakfast and head for a Kigali city tour and visit the Kigali genocide memorial ground, and have lunch before being transferred to Musanze near Volcanoes National Park, when you reach in Musanze; optional you can visit Dian Fossey Conservation Campus and later check in where you will have your dinner and spend overnight Your booked hotel FIVE VOLCANOES BOUTIQUE HOTEL
Early morning you will take a cup of coffee, then prepare for the gorilla trekking briefing from the Volcanoes Park headquarters and thereafter, you will be briefed before you enter the jungle with your packed lunch to search the shy mountain gorillas and enjoy their lifestyle in their real home. After meeting the gorillas, you can sit around these great apes for a whole hour watching their social life as you take pictures. The gorilla tracking experience takes half or whole day depending on the movements of these primates. After this gorilla tracking experience, you will return to your lodge for lunch. After lunch, spend the afternoon at leisure later in evening head to experience Rwanda cultural traditional, lifestyles, traditional dance, herbs, and how ancient kingdoms were generally organized at Ibyiwacu cultural village and drive back FIVE VOLCANOES BOUTIQUE HOTEL
After breakfast, you will be driven to RDB (Rwanda Development Board) Park headquarters, then enter the forest to trek the golden monkey, an associated species of the blue monkey only found within the Virunga area. The trek will take you until midday. Have lunch and in the afternoon drive to Gisenyi/Rubavu for 1h to visit Lake Kivu. Enjoy the beautiful sunsets and the view of the green islands spend overnight at GALAXY HOTEL
In the morning, you will enjoy breakfast at Lake Kivu and then drive to Pfunda tea plantation for starting visit at farm, try harvest with local people, experience how harvesting of tea leaves be done. Then later transfer to Pfunda tea factory to experience the production process of Rwanda tea. After, drive to Nyngwe National Park, check in to your hotel and later, head for the afternoon canopy walk at 3pm. Another exciting way to see the Nyungwe forest in the eyes of the birds. Later, return relax and wait for dinner and overnight at your hotel NYUNGWE TOP VIEW HILL HOTEL
Today, wake up early morning and go for breakfast, then drive to the briefing point before the tracking activity starts. You will be joined by the site guide who will take you through the tracking. You are advised to get your cameras ready as soon as your sport a group of chimps to take pictures for future remembrance. The tracking activity always lasts for 1-6 hours depending on someone’s energy to walk fast. After the activity, you will be picked up by your safari driver and be taken for lunch. Check out and then drive to Kigali for an overnight stay. Accommodation at Ubumwe Grande Hotel.
Today, after your relaxed morning breakfast at your hotel, you will be picked by our safari guide and leave for Akagera national park. You will have early lunch on the way at Imigongo. On arrival at the park, we shall proceed to our accommodation after check in and then, you will head for afternoon game drive Later around at 18h, return to the lodge for dinner and overnight. After an early morning breakfast at 6am, leave for an early morning game drive in Akagera national park to catch up with late hunters and early risers. We will be searching for the big mammals like Elephants, Giraffes, Buffaloes, several Antelope species, and recently the re- introduced Lions and Rhinos. The park is a varied habitat for wildlife and a number of bird species with over 500 bird species in the park making it a birding paradise. You will have a picnic lunch. After lunch, proceed with your game drive for more search of abundant wildlife within this great park. Later drive back to the lodge for overnight. Accommodation at Akagera game lodge.
After morning breakfast, head for boat trip on Lake Ihema. Enjoy a one-hour boat ride on this beautiful lake, watching a few bird species, crocodiles and hippos. Later drive back to the lodge for check out. On the way we shall have yet another day of adventure within the park, enjoying the beautiful sceneries of Rwanda’s hilly landscape, comprised of a blend of wetland, savannah, and woodland, the natural forests also make quite a view. The location of the park shows that it lies at a lower altitude as compared to rest of the country, therefore meaning that it is not only warmer but drier. Some of the wildlife you will see here include Giraffes, Buffalos and Elephants as well as a profusion of birds. If fortunate, we may be able to sight at the Shoebill Stork, especially around the shores of the lake, from here you will drive back to Kigali. End of Tour.
