DAY 1

Journey to Masai Mara

Upon arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) or after pick-up from your Nairobi hotel, you'll be greeted by our representative who will brief you on your upcoming safari adventure. You will set off on a scenic drive through Nairobi toward the Great Rift Valley, taking in the stunning landscapes en route. A stopover at a viewpoint offers a chance to admire the dramatic views of the Rift Valley. Continuing your journey, you will travel 259 km south to the iconic Masai Mara National Reserve. The route takes you through Narok before ascending the western wall of the Rift Valley, leading you to the famous "Serengeti plains" described by Ernest Hemingway. Arriving at Elewana sand river Masai Mara just in time for lunch, you'll settle into your comfortable accommodation. In the afternoon, embark on your first exhilarating game drive in this renowned reserve, known for its rich wildlife and picturesque scenery. Return to the camp for a delicious dinner and an overnight stay, ready to continue your safari adventure the following day.

DAY 2

Full Day in Masai Mara

Today, you will embark on a full day of exploration in the iconic Masai Mara National Reserve. Start your day with a thrilling game drive, searching for the diverse wildlife that populates this legendary park. You have the option to enhance your experience with a balloon safari, offering a unique aerial perspective of the Mara's stunning landscapes and wildlife. During your game drive, you may encounter a wealth of wildlife including abundant lions, elephants, giraffes, and various gazelle species. The Mara is also known for its impressive populations of cheetahs and leopards, and with a bit of luck, you might spot one of the rarer rhinos. You may choose to relax at Camp or opt for an enriching visit to a local Maasai village (available at an extra cost). During your Maasai village visit, you’ll engage with the Maa-speaking locals, witness traditional dances, and observe their daily activities. You can choose to enjoy a picnic lunch in the village or return to the lodge or camp for your meal.
