Arrival in Arusha – Welcome to Tanzania

Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO), you’ll be warmly welcomed by a professional guide from Paul Tours Safari. After a short briefing, you’ll be transferred to your hotel in Arusha for a well-deserved rest following your international journey.

Arusha is a vibrant city nestled at the foot of Mount Meru and serves as the gateway to Tanzania’s legendary northern safari circuit. Depending on your arrival time, you may choose to relax at the lodge or explore the city’s markets and cultural centers (optional).

In the evening, enjoy a delicious dinner and settle in as your unforgettable safari adventure begins tomorrow.

Day 2

Arusha – Tarangire National Park

After breakfast at your lodge, your guide will pick you up for the drive to Tarangire National Park—one of Tanzania’s most underrated gems. The journey takes approximately 2 hours and offers scenic views of rural landscapes and Maasai villages.

Upon arrival, begin your first game drive through Tarangire’s vast savannahs and iconic baobab-dotted hills. The park is especially famous for its large elephant herds, as well as giraffes, zebras, wildebeests, lions, and leopards. The Tarangire River, which runs through the park, acts as a magnet for wildlife, especially during the dry season.

Enjoy a picnic lunch inside the park, surrounded by nature. Continue with an afternoon game drive, capturing stunning photos and observing the unique wildlife behaviors of the bush.

In the late afternoon, head to your lodge or tented camp near the park for check-in, relaxation, and dinner under the stars.

Day 3

Tarangire – Lake Manyara National Park – Karatu

After breakfast at your lodge, depart for Lake Manyara National Park, a small but incredibly diverse park located at the base of the Great Rift Valley escarpment. The drive takes about 1.5 to 2 hours, passing through scenic farmland and traditional villages.

Upon entering the park, begin your game drive through groundwater forests and open grasslands. Lake Manyara is well-known for its tree-climbing lions, large troops of baboons, and flocks of pink flamingos along the lakeshore. You may also encounter hippos, buffaloes, giraffes, and various bird species in this rich ecosystem.

Day 5

Full Day in Serengeti National Park

Wake up to the soft sounds of the African bush and enjoy a freshly brewed coffee as the sun rises over the Serengeti plains. After a hearty breakfast at Nimali Central Serengeti, set out for a full-day game drive through this wildlife-rich ecosystem.

Today, you’ll explore deeper into the Seronera Valley, known as the heart of the Serengeti. This region is famous for its high concentration of predators, particularly lions, leopards, and cheetahs, as well as grazing herbivores like zebras, wildebeests, and buffaloes.

Depending on the time of year, you may also witness part of the Great Migration—an awe-inspiring natural event where thousands of wildebeests and zebras move across the plains in search of water and grazing. Your experienced guide will take you to the best locations for wildlife sightings and photography opportunities.

Serengeti – Ngorongoro Crater

Day 7

Ngorongoro Crater Game Drive – Return to Arusha – Departure

Rise early for a hot cup of coffee and a light breakfast at Crater’s Edge by Wilderness Collection before heading out for your final and most dramatic game viewing experience—Ngorongoro Crater.

Descend 600 meters into the world’s largest intact volcanic caldera for a half-day game drive. The Ngorongoro Crater is often described as the “Eighth Wonder of the World,” and for good reason. Its fertile floor and permanent water supply support an incredible density of wildlife, including rhinos, elephants, lions, hyenas, buffaloes, hippos, and a variety of antelope.

This is also one of the best places in Tanzania to spot the elusive black rhino in the wild.

Enjoy a picnic breakfast or brunch at the Ngoitoktok Hippo Pool, surrounded by birdsong and the sounds of snorting hippos.

After your crater experience, ascend back to the rim and begin your scenic drive back to Arusha, passing through the highlands and Great Rift Valley landscapes. On arrival, you’ll have the option for a farewell lunch (time permitting) and a chance to shop for local crafts and souvenirs.

You’ll then be transferred to Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) in time for your international flight or onward journey.

  • For bookings made within 45 days of departure, full payment is required at the time of confirmation.

2. Cancellation Policy

  • 61+ days before departure: 90% refund (10% admin fee)

  • 31–60 days before departure: 50% refund

  • 15–30 days before departure: 25% refund

  • 14 days or less: No refund
    Note: Refunds exclude bank charges and non-refundable lodge/airfare fees.

3. Amendments

  • Date or itinerary changes are subject to availability and may incur extra charges.

  • Any changes requested within 14 days of departure may not be accommodated.

4. Travel Insurance

  • Comprehensive travel insurance is mandatory and should cover medical emergencies, trip cancellations, and delays.
