Today is dedicated entirely to exploring different regions of the Mara, such as the Mara Triangle, Musiera Swamp, or the Mara River, depending on wildlife movements and your guide’s recommendations. The Mara is teeming with animals—from herds of elephants and towers of giraffes to prides of lions and elusive leopards resting in the trees.

If you’re visiting during the Great Migration season (July to October), your guide will position you strategically to witness wildebeest river crossings, a dramatic and unforgettable event. Even outside migration season, the Mara offers some of Africa’s best year-round game viewing.

Enjoy a picnic lunch in the bush, surrounded by the sights and sounds of the savannah. After lunch, continue your drive with opportunities to spot cheetahs hunting, hyenas scavenging, and hippos wallowing in the rivers.

You’ll check out and begin your return journey to Nairobi—either by road (approx. 5–6 hours) or via a scheduled flight to Wilson Airport (1 hour, optional at extra cost). Along the way, take in the changing landscapes and reflect on the unforgettable experiences of your safari.

If time allows once in Nairobi, you may stop for lunch at a local restaurant or do some last-minute shopping for souvenirs at one of the city’s craft markets. You’ll then be transferred to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport for your onward flight or international departure.
